Magpie Monday - Mirror, Mirror on the wall

Mirror, mirror, please don't fall.

I live in a modern house, you know the type - walls made out of cardboard where you panic when you hang anything heavier than a postcard!

However, I fell in love with this mirror in the charity shop, especially when I saw that it was only £10, but I didn't know if I could hang it on my walls.

Well MadDad  and I located a wooden beam upstairs on the landing and we decided to take the chance.

I am so glad we did.  A week later and it is still hanging in my little house made out of ticky tacky.

  1. Ooooh it's such a beautiful shape. I have a few of these and am waiting til I have a collection to hang, but I totally get you - they are so heavy!

  2. Lovely my grandma had one like this in her art deco inspired lounge gorgoeous

  3. hehe, I remember that song from the weird encyclopedia thing that used to be on windows pcs... it is cool...

The mirror is very cool, I do like the shape and would love to have the sort of space to hang a mirror like that

We have a tumble dryer, but it broke before christmas and we  couldn't afford to get it repaired, so I have been managing with an old fashioned wooden clothes rail and hanging bedding over the doors to dry, This last would of weeks however, I have been hanging the washing outside and it has been drying much quicker and with less creases, so I am going to take the plunge and instead of getting the dryer replaced I am going to give it away. Ecoforce heard me on twitter bemoaning the fact that I was chasing laundry round the garden as my pegs were not working and very kindly sent me some of their Ecoforce pegs to try and they have been fab.
